Titanium Dioxide

Material Overview

Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) is the most widely used white pigment in the world because of its brightness and very high refractive index, in which it is surpassed only by a few materials.

Titanium is part of Fodere’s development focus. Final product form, specification and suitability for an end market depend on feedstock-specific testwork and product qualification.

Extraction & Future

Titanium is the ninth most abundant element on Earth. It is typically extracted from ilmenite and rutile ores.

Fodere’s process chemistry is being developed to recover titanium from complex and lower-grade feedstocks, subject to feedstock-specific testwork and product qualification.
